This course equips you with essential practical skills and knowledge to deal with first aid accidents and emergencies for children in your care. This course meets the requirements of the EYFS.
‘At least one person who has a current full paediatric first aid certificate must be on the premises and available at all times when children are present.’ (EYFS, 2017)
With one workshop covering practical elements, you will receive training from qualified professionals. Reference materials will be provided plus you will have the opportunity to practice your new skills. On completion of the course you will receive an Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate which can be evidenced into a QCF qualification to gain the confidence to respond to emergency situations for those in your care. This will last 3 years from the date issued. Please note, this course is not suitable for those who work alone such as childminders or those who require the full Paediatric course as per EYFS 2017 3.25.
